The Montenegro international Model of United Nations is a simulation of the work of committees of the United Nations. This is the fifth time the simulation is being organized and we hope that it is becoming our tradition. The MiMUN will take place in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, from 28th April - 01st May 2017. It is a great opportunity for students to learn about diplomacy and international relations, experience negotiating processes and the way of operating of this global organization. In addition, it is an excellent ground for exchanging ideas and different point of views with regards to topics assigned to committees. UN Model is designed to improve diplomatic, communication and research skills and capacities of students.

Our main goal is to have students practically get familiar with mechanisms of international cooperation and basic diplomatic approach, such as negotiations, peaceful conflict solutions, consensus building, as well as to understand the importance of the UN's role in the contemporary world. „MIMUN 2017“ will be an opportunity for diplomatic debates, with respect to multiculturalism and democratic values, but also for connecting young leaders.

The conference will have a rich social life and special events.

MiMUN - Montenegro international Model United Nations is conference organized by Students Association for International Relations (SAMS) in partnership with the Faculty of Political Sciences Podgorica and United Nations Montenegro.

​

This year we will be organizing simulation of the way of operating of two committees - The Security Council and the Human Rights Council.

​

MIMUN will host approximately 70 participants from over 15 countries.

​

The way of work will enable the participants to present chosen country, different to their own. Delegations will be formed by the MIMUN Organizing team.

​

The working language of the Conference will be English!

​

The best participants according to the evaluation will receive a special certificate.
